Basic information about the Blood Cancer Foundation of Michigan:
BCFM serves Michiganders facing a diagnosis of blood cancer, a category that includes diseases such as leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma (the 3 most common blood cancers).
Formerly the Children’s Leukemia Foundation, BCFM has been meeting patients where they are for over 70 years.
BCFM provides a broad spectrum of care, as determined by the needs of the client. These may include cancer education and resources, coordination of care and case management, financial support during treatment, emotional support, patient events and social support, and regular check-ins with Master’s level patient services professionals. No two patients’ needs are alike.
BCFM also offers a Holiday Toys program to sponsor the wish lists of Michigan kids affected by blood cancers. Over 700 kids received holiday toys in 2025!
